The Mercer University Libraries celebrates Juneteenth (June 19) in honor of our African-American students, faculty, and staff. During Juneteenth, check out the virtual book display presentation at the Swilley Library in Atlanta and in the lobby of the Douglas and Henry RAC centers on the Digital Information Screens.
The Mercer University Libraries is excited to celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on Saturday, May 21. Watch the Q&A videos featuring Dr. Ansley Booker, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives and Felix Jelen, the Assistant Vice President of Global Engagement. Both of them discuss why cultural diversity is important at Mercer University. Also, take a look at the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collection in Kanopy, which is accessible through the library. Monroe F. Swilley, Jr. Student Research Award 2022
The Mercer University Libraries has awarded the 2022 Monroe F. Swilley, Jr. Student Research Award to Priyal Bagwe for “Intranasal Vaccination with Inactivated Gonorrhea Vaccine Induces Immunity in Mice.”
The runner-up is Suhani Patel for “Tolvaptan: A Disease-Modifying Therapy for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease.”
The Swilley Award recognizes excellence in research for students in all disciplines who study on the Atlanta campus, Regional Academic Centers, or in distance programs. This award is given in conjunction with the Atlanta Research Conference.
