Visitor Information
Mercer University Libraries are open to students, faculty, and staff with a current Bear card.
Please refer to the Mercer School of Law Library and the Mercer School of Medicine Skelton Libraries websites for visitor information particular to those locations.
Non-Mercer Visitors
Mercer University Libraries offers access to the following groups:
- ARCHE Insitutions
- Visitors from ARCHE schools may be eligible for material borrowing privileges at Mercer University Libraries. See the ARCHE Interlibrary Use Policies and Procedures for more details. A student ARCHE ILU card will expire at the end of the academic term in which it is issued.
- Visiting Scholars
- Ph.D. level graduate students and faculty from other insitutions of higher education may be approved as visiting scholars. Visiting scholars must apply for approval before scheduling a visit.
- Mercer University Libraries Archives and Special Collections Researchers
- Alumni
Library Hours & Appointments
Mercer University Libraries has visitor hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding holidays. Appointments are required. To make an appointment for the Archives, please fill out the Archives and Special Collections Appointment form. Other visitors should schedule a visit by contacting the Mercer University Libraries Public Services department.
During Your Visit
- Parking
- Please refer to Parking Information and Regulations from the Mercer Police Department.
- Borrowing Privileges
- Material borrowing privileges for visitors are detailed on the Borrowing Materials policy under the “Other” patron type.
- Library Technology
- Printing and copying is restricted to current Mercer students, faculty, and staff.
- Access to Discovery and other electronic resources requiring a password is not available.
