Hey, Bears! Mercer University Libraries is conducting a User Experience Survey until April 26, 2024 and we would love to know about your experience using the library. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate and responses are anonymous. You can complete the survey online or visit one of the library campuses (Tarver, Swilley, Douglas, or Henry) to take it in person. If you’d like to receive a prize, there is an option to enter a drawing to win Mercer swag once you have finished the survey. The drawing winner will be announced after the survey is concluded and there will be one winner per campus.

Solar Eclipse

Solar Eclipse (Atlanta Campus) 2024

Watch the solar eclipse at the Swilley Library! The eclipse will occur Monday, April 8 and can be viewed in Atlanta between 1:45 PM – 4:21 PM. The peak time for viewing the partial eclipse is 3:04 PM. Join us on the bridge in front of the library. Drop by the display table to grab a pair of viewing glasses and have your choice of a Moon Pie and a bag of SunChips while supplies last. Moon Pies and SunChips will also be available at the display tables at the Douglas and Henry Center libraries.

If you can’t make this event, you can watch a live broadcast of the total solar eclipse from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). If you’d like to take photos, NASA has 5 tips on how to do this safely. To learn more about the total solar eclipse, visit NASA’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
