The Caroline Paul King Papers contain materials related to Mrs. King’s career as a musician and music teacher (1928-1970), including programs, correspondence, news clippings, photographs, certificates, and adjudicators’ comment sheets from competitions and festivals. There is also a folder of newspaper clippings and programs relating to Mrs. King’s family, 1950-1998.

Scope and Contents The Charles Christopher CoCroft papers consist of six folders of papers dating from 1928-1932. The first folder contains primarily correspondence between Chris and his father, Christopher Columbus CoCroft. Other folders include school notes on Mary Shelley and papers on Beethoven, Shakespeare, and various forms of drama. The Allen Beza Comish Collection contains Comish’s personal papers, which includes budgets, meeting notes, and reservations from his time at Mercer University.

Scope and Contents The collection contains 24 scattered issues of "The Countryman" (1862-1865), which was a pro-Confederate newspaper published weekly by J. A. Turner at Turnwold Plantation in Putnam County, Georgia. In addition to being a newspaper published by a plantation during the American Civil War, the newspaper is notable for its role in launching the journalistic career of Joel Chandler Harris. The Eric Klingelhofer Collection contains two folders of materials related to the Faculty Welfare Committee at Mercer University: one covering 1990-93 and another 1994-96. Correspondence, meeting notes, and handouts are included and deal with issues such as faculty salaries, sabbatical policies, and University policies on faculty members’ consulting or taking other jobs outside their University duties.

This fragile scrapbook contains numerous items in no particular order: printed minutes of an organization, articles by CDM clipped from the Christian Index and Southern Baptist Missionary Journal, handwritten manuscripts on various topics (including sermons or exegetical essays), an associational circular letter, financial records, much poetry, and at least two printed pamphlets.

The Mallary Scrapbook Collection consists of about 25 unbound pages of clippings related to the Mallary family, five photographs of paintings by Jeanie Dagg (Mrs. Rollin Daniel) Mallary, one Christmas card containing on the cover a photograph of a painting by Mrs. Mallary, and one photograph of Charles Dutton Mallary.
