Biographical / Historical
Walter Moore served as a missionary to Cuba and pastor of Georgia Baptist churches in Waynesboro, Cedartown, Waycross, and Macon. Dr. Moore served Mercer University as trustee and member of the President’s Council. He retired from Vineville Baptist Church in June 1970 after 45 years in the ministry while continuing his second term as president of the Georgia Baptist Convention. He filled many other denominational posts and wrote extensively for church publications.
