George C. Steed Collection
This collection contains the sermons of George C. Steed during his time as a Baptist pastor.
George William Garner Collection
The George William Garner Collection contains one large, ornate scrapbook from Mr. Garner. The scrapbook contains several cut-out articles from The Christian Index.
Godard Collection
The Godard Collection contains the personal papers of William Thomas Godard and George Delma Godard. The collection consists of sermon notes, correspondence, essays, and other materials belonging to both men. Series 1 contains of papers from William Thomas Godard. Series 2 contains of papers from George Delma Godard.
Harry V. Smith Collection

Hendley F. Jelks Collection
The Hendley F. Jelks collection contains book drafts, photographs, sermon notes, papers, and other materials from Rev. Jelks’ career.
Henry H. Tucker Collection
The Henry H. Tucker collection contains one account book. The financial transactions in the front of the book were recorded in 1884 and 1885. The back of the book contains clippings which have been glued to the pages. Most clippings are reviews of Tucker’s book, The Old Theology Restated.
J. Gorham Garrison Collection
The J. Gorham Garrison Collection consists of one box of certificates, correspondence, speeches, pamphlets, and clippings throughout Mr. Garrison’s career.
Jacob Horace Smith Collection
The Smith collection contains papers (photocopied) from the years 1872-1875. It includes Smith’s diary (1873-1875), newspaper articles (1873, 1875), correspondence (1874), a commencement address made by Smith at Mercer University (1872), and sermons. The originals are located at First Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.
James Edgar Dillard, Jr. Collection
The James Edgar Dillard, Jr., Collection contains class notes, sermon notes, and other writings during Rev. Dillard’s lengthy career. Box 2 contains various pamphlets, handwritten sermon notes, and miscellaneous materials from Rev. Dillard.
James H. Kilpatrick Collection
The James H. Kilpatrick Collection contains a scrapbook. This was apparently given to his son, William Heard Kilpatrick, upon his death in 1908. Inside are clippings, mostly from The Christian Index, but there are also clippings from the Texas Baptist Herald. There is a barely legible index of these clippings on the inside of the front and back covers. Topics var clippings and include church government, missions, temperance, and both amusing and moralistic anecdotes.
