Charles Dutton Mallary Papers

This fragile scrapbook contains numerous items in no particular order: printed minutes of an organization, articles by CDM clipped from the Christian Index and Southern Baptist Missionary Journal, handwritten manuscripts on various topics (including sermons or exegetical essays), an associational circular letter, financial records, much poetry, and at least two printed pamphlets.

The Mallary Scrapbook Collection consists of about 25 unbound pages of clippings related to the Mallary family, five photographs of paintings by Jeanie Dagg (Mrs. Rollin Daniel) Mallary, one Christmas card containing on the cover a photograph of a painting by Mrs. Mallary, and one photograph of Charles Dutton Mallary.

Scope and Contents The Merritt Papers contain clippings that Merritt collected from The Christian Index during the years 1915, 1917, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1924. William J. Morcock Papers

Scope and Content Note

The William J. Morcock Collection consists of sermons and daily business dealings of the Morcock family. Twelve folders contain sermons and essays written by Morcock, spanning the period 1849-1874. Three folders contain receipts for purchases made by the family between 1851 and 1895. A journal/account book covering 1870-1879, a small collection of correspondence from 1855 to 1863, and some miscellaneous writings of or about other members of the family complete the collection.
