Archibald John Battle Papers
The Archibald Battle Papers contains two letters regarding Battle (1871 and 1879); a volume of Battle lecture notes taken by William S. West (1879-1880); and a notebook of miscellaneous notes (undated) with loose notes and scrap paper bearing West’s name inserted. The volume of lecture notes has significantly deteriorated. The collection was possibly given by Dr. Spencer B. King.
Addie E. Davis Papers
The Addie E. Davis collection contains papers from her years at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, sermons and bulletins from church services, audio tapes of sermons, and miscellaneous personal papers and publications.
Charles Orville Walker Papers
The collection contains correspondence, memorabilia, notes, scrapbooks, photographs, publications, sermons, and other documents from Walker’s life and work. The majority are in good condition.
William Mathusen Verdery Papers
The Verdery collection consists of diaries of William Mathusen Verdury from 1870-1896. The brief entries discuss where he preached and the scripture references he used, individuals he baptized, church visitations and travels, social life, and weather, mostly while residing in Hancock County, Georgia.

The J.D. Blair collection contains correspondences, newspaper clippings, programs, legal agreements, scouting reports, statistics, and subpoenas.
Lansing Burrows Papers
The Lansing Burrows papers contain two letters (1901 and 1913), an extensive record book of ministerial activities (1866-1882), and a scrapbook of mostly-undated news clippings.
Luther Rice Christie Papers
This collection contains sermons and published messages written by Dr. Christie as well as clippings and poems probably used in sermon preparation. Sermons are designated by scripture reference where this was obvious or by title when it was not. Untitled poems are listed by first line.
Jack E. Ayers Papers
Most of the letters in this collection relate to a member of “The Greatest Generation” and “The Girl He Left Behind”—but later married. This collection contains many letters between Mr. Ayers to his wife, Daphne, as well as from family members and friends. There are also copies of Mr. Ayers’ Veterans Administration Financial Records, photographs, mixed materials, notebooks, eyeglasses, lists, booklets, and cards.
Willis Borders Glover Papers
The collection contains Willis B. Glover’s personal data sheet, various correspondence, articles and publications, history lecture notes at the University of Virginia and Mercer University, and miscellaneous notes. The collection also contains articles and clippings from various authors.
