The Tippett Papers are divided into six sections, which were removed from a notebook. All relate to Southern Baptist church organizations and activities. Materials are primarily related to Sunday School and Training Union in the late 1950s and early 1960s and include materials for teachers, lesson outlines, attendance contests, and information on enlargement campaigns.

The Albert Henry Newman Collection contains correspondence to and from Newman, a prominent Baptist Church Historian, from 1926 to 1933; correspondence between Spencer B. King, Jr. and Frederick Eby (1956) pertaining to a biographical sketch of Newman for the Encyclopedia of Southern Baptists; Newman’s lecture notes on church history; and the book A Manual of Church History by T. J. Morgan (1880).

The collection includes materials related to the running of the Baptist Woman’s Missionary Union of Georgia. These items include meeting minutes, photographs, audio-visual materials, scrapbooks, serial publications, promotional and event materials, and memorabilia. The collection is divided into 15 series, largely based on the type of materials and the contents. Some boxes are more processed than the rest. The Carswell Family Collection scrapbook contains biographies, histories, and genealogies of the Carswell, Janes, and Hobbs families. There are maps, letters, and brief stories in the scrapbook.

This fragile scrapbook contains numerous items in no particular order: printed minutes of an organization, articles by CDM clipped from the Christian Index and Southern Baptist Missionary Journal, handwritten manuscripts on various topics (including sermons or exegetical essays), an associational circular letter, financial records, much poetry, and at least two printed pamphlets.

The Columbus Roberts Papers include personal records (clippings/time line, correspondence, manuscript, photographs, recordings of interviews, scrapbook, and speeches) as well as materials related to the Georgia Milk Control Board, the Georgia Milk Producers Confederation, the Georgia Temperance League, and Mercer University.

Scope and Contents This collection contains office files for promotional materials distributed by the National Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Most files contain drafts, receipts, notes, and final copies of the brochure, bulletin insert, literature, pamphlet, or video under production.
