The Walter B. Shurden Papers contains 10 boxes of materials. They consist of biographical sketches, copies of speeches and articles written by Shurden, papers related to Baptist organizations with which Shurden was involved, letters of recommendation, and correspondence. Original folder names and organization have been retained where possible.

Willena Sherwood Papers
This collection contains an album of friendship belonging to Willena Sherwood, in which friends wrote notes or poetry to Sherwood from 1863-1869. The collection also contains photocopies of records pertaining to Sherwood and her family, supplied by the Washington Memorial Library.

The collection is composed of four record center boxes of papers, including records of court cases, speeches, correspondence, photographs, and articles. There are also three boxes of scrapbooks, framed photographs, and regalia.

William J. Morcock Papers
The William J. Morcock Collection consists of sermons and daily business dealings of the Morcock family. Twelve folders contain sermons and essays written by Morcock, spanning the period 1849-1874. Three folders contain receipts for purchases made by the family between 1851 and 1895. A journal/account book covering 1870-1879, a small collection of correspondence from 1855 to 1863, and some miscellaneous writings of or about other members of the family complete the collection.
William Jones Carswell Papers
The William Jones Carswell Collection contains three boxes of sermon notes, two of which are filed in letter-sized folders and one of which is filed in the original envelopes; one box of published books, slides, and photographs; and a final box of research notes on 4ʺ × 6ʺ cards.

The Verdery collection consists of diaries of William Mathusen Verdury from 1870-1896. The brief entries discuss where he preached and the scripture references he used, individuals he baptized, church visitations and travels, social life, and weather, mostly while residing in Hancock County, Georgia.
