James Hines Kilpatrick Papers

Scope and Contents

The James H. Kilpatrick Collection contains a scrapbook. This was apparently given to his son, William Heard Kilpatrick, upon his death in 1908. Inside are clippings, mostly from The Christian Index, but there are also clippings from the Texas Baptist Herald. There is a barely legible index of these clippings on the inside of the front and back covers. Topics var clippings and include church government, missions, temperance, and both amusing and moralistic anecdotes.

James Picket Wesberry Papers

James White Merritt Papers

Scope and Contents The Merritt Papers contain clippings that Merritt collected from The Christian Index during the years 1915, 1917, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1924. The 1915 and 1917 clippings are related to B.Y.P.U. events and news.
