Biographical / Historical
Jimmy B. Lewis was born in Rome, Georgia. He earned his A.B. from Shorter College (1971) and attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Sandra Dooley. Lewis served as pastor of Cave Spring Baptist Church (Floyd County), Locust Grove Baptist Church (Smyrna), and the First Baptist Church of Morrow. He was also the Mission Coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia from 2000 to 2005. His final pastoral position was at First Baptist Church of Jasper, Georgia (2005-2013). He has now retired from formal ministry.
