Series 1: “China Recollections”, 1965-1977
Scope and Contents
The Edgar L. Morgan Papers contain five spiral-bound books of transcripts from Dr. Morgan’s sketches of missionary life in China (originally published in the Owenton, Kentucky, News-Herald); a letter by Carter Morgan describing the collection; and memorials for Edgar L. and Lelah Carter Morgan written by Carter (their son). The collection also contains a folder of supporting documents, including sample articles, business cards, and an obituary of Dr. Morgan. The collection was compiled and arranged into binders by Carter Morgan in 1997.
