Student Volunteer Movement
Scope and Contents
Missionary correspondence files contain manuscript letters and reports, as well as some diaries, from missionaries in the field to the home office in the United States. Letters were often published in the Baptist Missionary Magazine, and later Missions Magazine, in order to inform home congregations about the mission work that they supported through their tithes, offerings, and prayers. This collection is a rich resource for researchers interested in topics such as mission history, evangelism, church planting, health care, education and literacy, and women's history.
