Marriages Published in the Christian Index (1828-1855)"Of special interest to those in Georgia and surrounding states are the Marriage Notices which were carried in this paper over a long period of time. Those appearing during the period 1828 - 1855 have been abstracted by Mrs. Mary Overby and the material has been indexed, stenciled, and mimeographed by Mrs. Edgar Lancaster. There are over 1,000 of these notices, 3,000 or more names. They include Bride, Groom, Minister, Parents and other identifying information, such as date of marriage and county of bride and groom. The INDEX is included for easy reference."
