Library Resources

Mergent Online — Provides web-based access to the most detailed, accurate and comprehensive global company database. Mergent Online provides U.S. company data as well as international company data including U.S. company data for over 15,000 public companies and their SEC filings, U.S. annual reports, international company data for approximately 17,000 companies, international annual reports, FactSheets, and country information.

Business Market Research Collection (ProQuest) — Conduct company, industry, economic and geopolitical market research with information from these sources: Hoover's Company Profiles, OxResearch, and Snapshots.

Business Source Complete (EBSCO) — A scholarly business database that provides full-text access to many peer-reviewed business related journals, including disciplines such as marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Indexing and abstracts for the many important scholarly business journals as far back as 1886 are included. Business Source Complete also contains detailed author profiles for the 20,000 most-cited authors in the database.

Georgia Education Statistics:

School Performance and Report Card - maintained by the State of Georgia's Office of Student Achievement, this website includes statistical data broken-down by county and/or school. The data reported here is intended to meet state and federal laws.

Georgia Department of Education Data & Reporting - maintained by the Georgia Department of Education, this site includes a variety statistical data on the various schools in the state of Georgia. 

National Education Statistics:

National Center for Education Statistics Data Tools - a variety of search tools providing access to educational statistics for schools across the country. While this is national in scope, information on individual schools is available.

Digest of Education Statistics - various data tables with nation-wide education statistics, maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics.

Demographic Data

Data.gov - Best single location for most government statistics; aggregates at the location level, not the spreadsheet level, in most cases.

Census.gov - The U.S. government collects a variety of data including:

American FactFinder - Find popular facts (population, income, etc.) and frequently requested data about your community

City-Data.com - collects and analyzes data from numerous sources to create as complete and interesting profiles of all U.S. cities

GuideStar.org - find data from non-profit organizations
