This page collects resources to help you write your Paper 3, the open letter advocating for others.

Your Assignment

This persuasive essay has two main components. First, the assignment requires research into some aspect of public policy affecting the quality of life for a particular group. Students will then write an open letter based on tht research. The open letter will be addressed to a public audience in order to advocate for solutions designed to improve that group's quality of life as fully fledged "selves."

Here's an example open letter: George P. Bush's "White-Nationalist Terrorism Must Be Stopped."
