Biographical / Historical
Jackson Hill Baptist Church was organized and dedicated in 1894 in Atlanta, Georgia. The church and its records were lost in Atlanta’s great fire of 1917. A new church building was constructed in 1925 on the corner of Boulevard and Rankin Street and then moved to its final site on Ponce de Leon Avenue, the former home of Prestor S. Arkwright, President of the Georgia Power Company. The church closed permanently in 2022.
