The Otto Papers contains one binder entitled “The Case of Dr. Francis Robert Otto,” and a notation inside reading, “This copy by hand from Dr. Otto, September 25, 1990.” The binder is organized into sections, all of which deal with a controversial chapel sermon delivered by Dr. Otto (Dean of the Chapel) in 1967. The Duncan Family Collection is divided into 5 series. Series 1 contains materials from Pope Alexander Duncan Sr., while Series 2-5 contain materials from Pope Alexander Duncan Jr. As a general rule, Duncan Sr.'s (d. 1938) sermon notes (Series 1) extended to no more than two handwritten half-sheets of paper or one typed half-sheet paper.
