Edmonds Student Research Award to Amelia Patrick for her project &#8220;India\u2019s Gender Gap in Secondary Education: An Analysis of Cultural Factors\u201d for her IAF 400 (Senior Capstone) course, with Dr. Eimad Houry as faculty support.<\/p><p>Evelyn Johnson has been chosen and the runner-up for \u201cMerge and Move Out: The Cultural Homogenization of the Russian Jewish Immigrant in World War 1\u201d from the\u00a0HIS 495 (Senior Research Seminar) course, with Dr. Abigail Dowling as faculty support.\u00a0Honorable mention is awarded to Kendall Webb\u00a0 for \u201cElaine: A Forgotten Legacy\u201d for the HIS 295 (Historian\u2019s Craft) course, with Dr. Matt Harper as faculty support.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-40dd0f6 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"40dd0f6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c57b87c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1c57b87c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <a href=\"\/index.php\/studentservices\/student-research-awards\/edmonds-award\/\">Edmonds Award<\/a> recognizes excellence in undergraduate research projects that incorporate the use of the University Libraries&#8217; collections and services and demonstrate exceptional information literacy skills on the part of the undergraduate researcher. The intent of the Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award is to celebrate student engagement in original research in all academic disciplines and to promote extensive and meaningful use of library resources and services.<\/p><p>The award honors long-time librarian and student mentor, Valerie B.
