In-Person Library Access (Updated May 29, 2020)


  • As of June 1, 2020, all library locations will be open to current Mercer students, faculty, and staff.


Special Collections & Archives


Access to the Archives & Special Collections is available by appointment only for current Mercer students, faculty, and staff. 


Interlibrary Loan


We are no longer able to process requests for physical books. Requests for journal articles and book chapters will be processed, but there may be long delays.


Circulation Policy Changes


Mercer University faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to keep library materials until you are back on campus. 

  • If you are local, you may return items using external book drops at the Swilley Library (Atlanta) or the Tarver Library (Macon). 
  • Internal book drops are available at the Douglas County Center (Lithia Springs) and the Henry County Library (McDonough).

If you need help paying for shipping, we can send you a mailing label for return via UPS or USPS.  If you are interested in this option, please email your name, your home address including zip code, your MUID, and the total weight of your packaged items to Theresa Rhodes.  We will send you a pre-paid mailing label by email.
