Scope and Contents
Partial journal appears to be mostly pages from a pre-printed 1938 journal, written in by Elizabeth Smith Cope as she wrapped up her life in Burma and prepared to return to the United States after Herbert's death. It also includes a variety of clippings. The other blank book with notes and writings is unattributed, but includes glued-in clippings from 1955, so cannot be Joseph Herbert's.
