Biographical / Historical
Born in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada. He received at BA in Toronto at McMaster University in 1914 and enlisted in the Canadian Army during World War I as a private. He rose to Lieutenant and was in charge of YMCA activities for the 1st Canadian Infantry Brigade.
Morrison received a BD from Rochester Theological Seminary and in 1940, his DD at McMaster.
Ordained to the Baptist ministry in 1921, he became Cornelius Woeflkin professor of preaching at Colgate Rochester Divinity School in 1940. He is the author of Masterpieces of Religious Verse.
