Immediate Source of Acquisition
A note with the 1914 address says that it was donated by Dorothy W. Pease in 1942.
File Plan
Correspondence from C.J. Romage 1909, manuscript on Luther Rice, address on the settlement of New Providence and the First Baptist Church in Northern Berkshire, delivered in 1914.
Processing Information
The correspondence and manuscript were found in the stacks, and the 1914 address was in miscellaneous manuscripts. Head of Archives and Special Collections Jill Sweetapple put the items together under RG 1432. Notes on an envelope said that the manuscript was an original from Luther Rice, writing reminiscences at Jubilee Services. We think that is an error, as the handwriting matches Pease's in the address.
