Biographical / Historical
Robert Fulop was born in Chicago in 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 and was last stationed in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1950, Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1953, and from New College, University of Edinburgh Scotland in 1959 with a PhD in Historical Theology. He was a pastor at the First Baptist Church in Appleton, Wisconsin, and then served 15 years as a missionary teacher at Kanto Gakuin University in Yokohama. For twenty-six years he was professor of church history and missions at Central Baptist Theological Seminary.
