Biographical / Historical

Maza Rose Evans was an educational missionary in India for 37 years. She graduated from Ottawa University, Kansas in 1921, and was appointed in 1924. She received an MA from the University of California in 1939. Ridgway Girls’ School in Golaghat, Assam was only five years old when Evans arrived and by 1955 it included nine buildings with 250 students. Graduates of the school became teachers, nurses and Bible women. Maza retired in 1961.
