Collection includes: (1) Thomas B. Stephenson license to preach the gospel, 1818. (2) Essay, "The Home Missionary Work of Thomas Bridges Stephenson," written by his grandson James P. Stephenson, 1931. (3) Letter of recommendation to join a different church, Aug. 12, 1819. (4) Letter of recommendation as a minister, May 30, 1821. (5) Letter of dismission and recommendation, July 6, 1823. (6) Letter of introduction (?) for Thomas B. Stephenson as a home missionary, July 13, 1824.

Thomas B. Stephenson was a Baptist minister, born in New York City on March 15 1798, and died in Chester, Geauga Co., Ohio on Nov. 4, 1861.
