Biographical / Historical

First Baptist Church has had varying states of association with other churches in Philadelphia. Formed as a mission of the Lower Dublin (Pennypack) Baptist Church and eventually achieving full status as an independent church, it has spawned numerous churches of its own. This series has records of the Beth Eden Baptist Church, with whom it merged in 1895, and the various chapels or missions it supervised, several of which later achieving status as independent churches.
