Scope and Contents

Letters to Emery Andrews and Mary Brooks Andrews, primarily from members of Seattle Japanese Baptist Church, c. 1942-1948. Correspondence is mainly personal and deals with experiences of Church members who had relocated out of incarceration camps during and immediately after WWII. Also includes a small number of letters from home missionaries and other colleagues of Emery Andrews involved in work with Japanese Americans. Majority of correspondents are identified only by given names.
