Biographical / Historical
After The Baptist Banner was absorbed by The Watchman-Examiner, West Virginia Baptists felt a need for a new statewide Baptist newspaper. The West Virginia Baptist was initially published in March and April of 1934 as an unnumbered bulletin. The first numbered issue (volume I, number 1) was published in May 1934.
