Swilley Research Award Winner 2019: Kathleen Bazile Runner-Up: Courtney Knight

The University Library is pleased to announce the winner and runner-up of the 2018 Monroe F. Swilley, Jr. Student Research Award.

The winner of the 2019 Monroe F. Swilley Jr. Research Award is Kathleen Bazile, for her research proposal entitled "Exploring Social Media Use and its Relation to Body Image Concerns of Midlife and Older Women." Ms. Bazile was honored with a plaque at the Atlanta Research Conference on April 13 and received $250.00.

Courtney Knight is this year's runner up with her research presentation entitled "Cannabidiol (CBD) as a Self Care Pain Management Alternative." Ms. Knight was the recipient of $100.00.

The Monroe F. Swilley, Jr. Student Research Awards were presented to the winners at the Atlanta Research Conference on April 13th.
