The University Library recognizes students awarded the winner and runner-up prizes for the Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award.

The University Library is pleased to announce the winner and runner-up of the 2018 Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award.

Winner:

Brianna Stone for “And Their Song Will Not Go Unsung: The Marginalization of Black Midwifery in South Georgia by the Georgia Department of Public Health”                           

Runner-Up:

Gabrielle Hale for “’Every Student Thinks Himself a Poet’: Higher Education in the Antebellum South”                                                                                                                             

The winner will receive her award at Honors Convocation on Friday, April 6th at 4 p.m. in Willingham Auditorium.
