2019 Edmonds Award Recipients

The winner of the 2019 Edmonds Student Research Award is Summer Perritt for “The Georgia Civil War Centennial Commission and the Exclusion of Slavery.” Ms. Perritt was honored with a plaque at the Honors Convocation on April 5 and received $250.00. Her faculty sponsor was Dr. Matt Harper, department of history in the College of Liberal Arts.

Hannah Keller was the runner-up for “When Conflict Became Strategy: The Marriage of Edward IV to Elizabeth Woodville,” and her faculty sponsor was Dr. Sarah Gardner, department of history in the College of Liberal Arts. Ms. Keller was the recipient of $100.00 and was recognized along with Ms. Perritt at a reception in Tarver Library.
