Hours of Availability
IM reference is available each day the Library is open, from one hour after opening until one hour before closing. You can see the Library's hours of operation here.
1. Who can use the AskMercer service?
AskMercer is intended primarily for Mercer students, faculty, and staff but questions from other users will be welcomed if resources permit.
2. What type of questions can I submit using AskMercer?
We will attempt to answer all of your questions. Some requests might require direct email communication with a librarian or a scheduled research consultation.
3. Will I need to wait to chat with the librarian?
Patrons at the Reference Desk have priority over IM patrons. IM patrons are taken on a first-come-first-served basis. Alternatively, you may always email a librarian or visit the reference desk for assistance.
4. Can I email AskMercer at its AIM/Yahoo/MSN/gmail account?
No. If you need to email a librarian, please do so here. We do not check AIM/Yahoo/MSN/gmail email.
5. What is the AskMercer screenname?
