OARS - Online Automated Review System

OARS is a Web application created to assist with prioritizing serial deselection in libraries.

Developed by Geoffrey P. Timms of Mercer University and Jonathan H. Harwell of Georgia Southern University, the Ongoing Automated Review System (OARS) is an open source Web application designed to assist with prioritizing serial deselection in libraries. OARS makes recommendations based upon the the synthesis of four weighted variables:

  • CostOARS home page
  • Usage
  • Indicator of importance
  • Eigenfactor (an indicator of a journal's significance)

We offer OARS for you to freely download and use under the MIT license without guarantee or warranty.
