Research that Reaches Out Resources

by Amy E. Tureen last modified Mar 02, 2017 09:49 AM

The materials listed below include many ideas and resources that pertain to our QEP "Research that Reaches Out". These resources have been gathered by Mercer faculty and staff across many departments and are intended to assist faculty members with contextualizing Research that Reaches Out and the three Grand Challenge themes (economic freedom in 2016-2017 & 2019-2020, personal well-being in 2017-2018 & 2020-2021, and social responsibility in 2015-2016 & 2018-2019). The resources should assist with conceptualizing and delivering courses that deal with these topics in various disciplines. Please forward suggestions for additional items to include in this list to Amy Tureen at .

Economic Freedom (2016-2017)

""Well, in our country," said Alice, still panting a little, "you'd generally get to somewhere else—if you run very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."

"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!""

-Through the Looking-Glass by L. Carroll
