Music (ProQuest) — Formerly known as International Index to Music Periodicals (IIMP), this database enables you to search and browse hundreds of music journals covering a broad scope of research from performance, theory and composition to music education, jazz and ethnomusicology. It provides indexing, abstracts and selected full text coverage of the most important music journals - all integrated in one site.
Oxford Music Online — Oxford Music Online includes Grove Music Online, The Oxford Companion to Music (2002), which offers more than 8,000 articles on composers, performers, conductors, instruments and notation, forms and genres, and individual works, and The Oxford Dictionary of Music, 2nd edition (revised 2006), which supplements Grove's more extensive articles with content geared toward undergraduates and general users.
NAXOS Music Library — Naxos Music Library is a vast online classical music library, offering streaming access to tens of thousands of CDs. The library offers the complete Naxos and Marco Polo catalogues plus the complete catalogues or selected titles from over 378 classical, jazz and world music labels with more labels joining every month. Classic pop and rock music as well as Chinese orchestral music are also represented.
Canterbury Dictionary of Hymnology
This reference resource is targeted for scholars of global hymnody, with information on the hymns of many countries and languages, and a strong emphasis on the historical as well as the contemporary. This resource contains over 4000 individual entries about hymns of the Judaeo-Christian tradition, from the earliest years to those written today that will be of interest to literary scholars, musicians, church historians, and theologians.
RILM Abstracts of Music Literature — Provides citations and abstracts to international music literature that encompasses historical musicology, ethnomusicology, instruments and voice, librarianship, dance, and music therapy. Also covered are other fields as they relate to music. The database covers all formats of scholarly works: articles, books, bibliographies, catalogs, dissertations, films and videos, conference proceedings, and more.
Academic Search Complete — Provides abstracts and indexing for over 3,800, as well as full text for over 3,200 scholarly journals and general magazines.
JSTOR — An online archive containing back issues of scholarly journals in many disciplines.
ARTstor Digital Library — This resource provides over 1.5 million digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. Research Library — Provides abstracts and indexing for over 2,600, as well as full text for over 1,700 scholarly journals and general magazines. Research Library is an expansion of, and replacement for, the database titled Periodical Abstracts Research II.
Dissertations and Theses Full Text — Covers dissertations accepted at accredited U.S. institutions since 1861. It selectively covers Master's theses and Canadian, British, and other international dissertations. Most dissertations since 1997, along with some earlier dissertations, are available in full text.
Arts & Humanities — Includes hundreds of titles covering Art, Architecture, Design, History, Philosophy, Music, Literature, Theatre, and Cultural Studies.
