SIC code numbers, covering industries of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing, Mining; Construction; Manufacturing; Transportation, Communications and Public Utilities; Wholesale Trade; Retail Trade; Finance and Real Estate; and Services.
Almanac of Business and Industrial Financial Ratios Reference, HF 5681 .R25 A45
The Almanac features NAICS data covering North America and provides 50 performance indicators on 192 industries. The data are based on actual IRS tax returns from 5 million U. S. and international corporations.
Annual Statement Studies: Financial Ratio Benchmarks Reference, HF 5681. B2 R6

This database is the best place to look for newspaper articles, virtually all include full text.

Yahoo! Finance is a great source for stock market analysis. It contains information about stocks quotes, up-to-date financial news, investing tools, market coverage, market statistics, and portfolio managment resources.
S & P's website provides the information including Credit Ratings, Equity Research, S&P's Indices, Risk Solution, Funds, Data Services. Indices covers Real Time Value, Index Changes, Index Methodology, News and Analysis, Global Industry Classification Standard, and S&P 500.

This website includes links to data of current Federal economic indicators in the areas of employment, income, international statistics, money, output, prices, production, and transportation produced by a number of federal agencies.
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
The website of the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States, features Economic Research & Data, Consumer Information, Monetary Policy, Reports to Congress, and Federal Reserve Bulletin.
Economic Data - FRED®
FRED® is the Federal Reserve's economic and financial database of over 3000 U.S. economic time series. The data include Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Components, Consumer Price Indexes (CPI); Exchange Rates, and Interest Rates.
FRASER™ (Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research)
This site provides historical economic statistical publications, releases and documents, including Economic Indicators (1948-2005); Economic Report of the President (1960-1995); and Survey of Current Business (1925-1982).
Economic Report of the President (1996 forward)
Economic Report of the President is an annual report written by the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. It contains the statistical tables of gross domestic product (GDP), GDP by industry, CPI for major expenditure classes, money stock and debt measures, common stock prices and yields, and growth rates in real GDP.

This site contains information about GDP & its components, personal income & outlays, corporate profits, and annual industry accounts.

Standard & Poor's Industry Surveys Reference, HC 106.6 .S74
S&P Industry Surveys covers more than 50 of the largest and most significant US industries. Each report has the same format that includes recent developments, industry basics, and company data. Each Industry Survey is updated twice annually.
Mergent Industry Review Reference, HG 4963 .M68
This source is arranged by industry, in 137 industry group, and contains key financial information, operating data, and rations on over 6,000 companies. Each industry review includes three sections of Comparative Statistics, Latest Annual Rankings, and Growth Rates.
Value Line Investment Survey Reference, HG 4501 .V26
The Value Line Investment Survey is a three-part publication: Part 1 — Summary & Index; Part 2 — Selection & Opinion; and Part 3 — Ratings & Reports. It offers the ratings of 1,700 companies' stock performance, historical trend data, three-to-five year projections of key financial measures, individual stock reports, and industry reviews.
Business Source Complete (EBSCO)
Business Source Complete provides full text for over 2,345 journals covering all aspect of business. In the advanced search interface, quick access is available to company profiles, industry profiles, market research reports, SWOT analyses, and country reports.
ABI/INFORM Complete (ProQuest)
ABI/INFORM Complete is a complete database comprised of ABI/INFORM Global, Dateline, and Trade & Industry sub-sets.
Mergent Online (Off-campus use requires password)
Mergent Online is essentially a financial database with data going back 15 years. The database contains industry reports which are based on industry sectors and countries. Use the drop-down menus available to search for reports by industry, by region, or date range.

This database provides access to extensive business and financial information on over 15,000 U.S. public companies and over 20,000 non-U.S. public companies from approximately 100 countries. It also contains the EDGAR filings with data back to 1993.
Mergent Online is able to retrieve a list of companies by a variety of Indexes. Use the Index drop-down menu to select the target index, e.g. S&P 500, and limit to the United States. Then the Search Results page will show all S&P 500 companies.
This database contains business news, industry & market, company financial reports, company profiles, and SEC filings & reports.
SEC Filings & Forms (EDGAR)
The Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system (EDGAR) provides free access to full-text of U. S. public corporation documents filed with U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission, including 10-K and 10-Q reports.
