Biographical / Historical

William received his medical degree from UCLA in California in 1959 and Darlene received a BA from Redlands University in 1956. William worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles for four years. The Macpersons were appointed to the Congo as missionaries in 1965.

The Congo Journals, Vol. 1 and 2 cover time at the then ABFMS Vanga Evangelical Hospital. After Vanga, 19 years were spent in the Capital city of Kinshasa. This time period is covered in Kinshasa Journals, Volumes 1 through 4.
