Biographical / Historical

John Henry Mason (May 29, 1850 – June 24, 1928), son of Rev. David Mason, was a Baptist minister and educator. A graduate of Brown University, Mason served as Pastor in 3 New York churches and at First Baptist Church in New Haven, Connecticut. Mason was the Professor of Homiletics at Rochester Theological Seminary, 1903-1913.

Caroline Atwater Mason (July 10, 1853- May 2, 1939) was an American novelist. Mason married Caroline Atwater on May 29, 1877; the couple had three daughters: Mary Atwater (Mrs. Henry W. Taylor), Ruth Little Mason (Mrs. Willis B. Rice), and Helen Carol (died in infancy).
